I recently had the opportunity to see the 1988 Frank Henenlotter film, Brain Damage, in theaters so I figured I’d do a quick one-off episode to give my impressions.
It’s Channel 83’s birthday so we’re releasing an episode that has been buried in the Channel 83 vault for some time. The original concept of the show was to have 2 hosts, one an avid horror fan and the other a complete horror noob. Scheduling conflicts prevented this first iteration from getting off the ground but here’s a glimpse into the beginnings of Channel 83.
The theme for this week is Rutger Hauer and we’ll paying tribute to the genre film icon that sadly passed away back in July. The movies this week are Surviving the Game from 1994, The Hitcher from 1986, and 1997’s Bleeders.
This week’s theme is Exploding Heads and each of our films this week features, you guessed it, someone’s head exploding. We’ll be taking a look at Galaxy of Terror and Scanners – both from 1981 – and 1986’s Night of the Creeps.
Our theme this week is Crazy and each of our movies’ titles are terms used to call someone, for lack of a better word, crazy. We’ll be reviewing 1980’s Schizoid, 1982’s Basket Case, and 1960’s Psycho.
This week’s theme is Texas and each of our movies takes place in the Lone Star State, sort of. We’ll be reviewing 1976’s The Town that Dreaded Sundown, 1974’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects.
Just a quick one-off episode where we review the Andy Muschietti’s IT Chapter Two.
